CAI-SAT facility, also hosts training courses in a variety of mountain disciplines. Classroom for lessons, climbing gym just 15' away with various rock climbing routes. Mountaineering and climbing courses are organized by the Alpine Guides of Madonna di Campiglio. Open from 20/06 to 20/09 and in winter from 1/12 to 25/04.
Access: Campo Carlo Magno Pass-Grostè Pass gondola lift; getting off at the intermediate station, walk 30' uphill, then descend to the next station (20' downhill). From Campo Carlo Magno, walking along a forest road (1.45 hours).
Itineraries: from Vallesinella, take trail no. 382 up to Rifugio Graffer passing by the upper Vallesinella waterfalls, then beneath the Corna Rossa cliff (2 hours). In about 1 hour along trail no. 336, you get to "Orti della Regnia" ("Gardens of the Queen"), two natural basins on Pietra Grande ("Great Stone"), so named for the great variety of its flora. By way of an easy route (trail no. 331), you can reach Rifugio Tuckett and Bocca di Tuckett (1.30 hours); you can also arrive by way of the via ferrata "Alfredo e Rodolfo Benini" (3 hours) around Cima Grostè, Bocchetta dei Camosci, and Cima Sella. From the lodge or Grostè Pass, you can cross the rugged northern chain of the Brenta Group (trail no. 306); this is a route for experienced climbers that takes from 9 to 12 hours.
