Laura Pirovano from trento: on top of the world
She wins the juniores giant world championships
Laura Pirovano is the new world champion in giant slalom. The nineteen-year-old skier from Trento (belonging to Fiamme Gialle, the sport section of the Italian police force, Guardia di Finanza) is the eighth Italian in the history to win the juniores title and to get a place in the finals of Aspen of the next week.
An extraordinary result for the talented skier from Spiazzo Rendena, that has grown up with the ski club Agonistica Val Rendena and then has entered the Trentino Committee, the Fiamme Gialle and the Italian ski team.
She won the ninth place in the giant world championships in Sochi last year, and the victory of this year confirms her great competitive growth, making her debut in the World Cup. In the last years she won six podium in the European Cup, with two vistories (one in the downhill and the other in the giant disciplines).
