The gourmet cuisine has become, during the years, a pearl of the gastronomic offer of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Val Rendena. 2 Michelin starred restaurants and several gourmet restaurants are waiting for you to let you live an excellent gastronomic experience.
The prestigious Michelin Guide, international benchmark of the high quality food, assigned, during the years, the “1 star” prize to three restaurants of Madonna di Campiglio.
The restaurant Il Gallo Cedrone has received the sought-after prize in 2012. The restaurant is the "taverna" of the Hotel Bertelli and was guided by the chef Vinicio Tenni. The Michelin Guide describes this cuisine in this way: “The scents of the wood enter in the dishes! At Gallo Cedrone, the mountain is celebrated, from the hay-smoked food to the Trentino cold cuts and cheeses. The lake and the freshwater fishes are not far, the game is inevitable: the restaurant invites you in a gourmet trip in the heart of the mountains”. The star has been reconfirmed with the new chef Sabino Fortunato.
The last starred restaurant is the Dolomieu restaurant of the Hotel Dv Chalet - with the chef Enrico Croatti. Born in the Romagna region, he worked in the most famous restaurants in Europe and overseas; he realizes dishes of great creativity and flair, with many melted influences, without forgetting to value the local products.
But there's not only stars. The are other gourmet award winning restaurants by the Michelin Guide and expert gastronomic reviewers, that enrich the offer of the resort.
The first restaurant awarded by Michelin Guide has been the Stube Hermitage of the Biohotel Hermitage, at first with the chef Paolo Cappuccio and then with the young chef Nicola Laera, with his “artistic and imaginative cuisine linked to the products and inspirations from all over the world, as well as to special hints of local delicacies”, that binds with the scented wood.
The Michelin Guide awarded the Il Convivio restaurant of the Hotel Alpen Suite (Madonna di Campiglio), with the “two forks”, describing it as a charme place. The same prize has been given to the Ristorante Da Alfiero, a special place for a romantic dinner, the Majestic Gourmet and the Due Pini Gourmet with their dishes based on the local tradition but adorned by the creativity of the chefs.
Near Pinzolo, in Giustino village, there is the original Ristorante Mildas, which received the “two forks” by the Michelin Guide as well: placed on a crypt of the fourteenth century with a modern refectory, it revisits the classic Trentino dishes as the local “polenta” with the shank.
