Nordic Walking

Nordic walking is both a sport and a wellness discipline that is done outdoors. It was created by Finnish cross-country skiers as a method of training during the summer months.

In Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, there are two Nordic walking parks available to anyone looking to practice this sport immersed in the lush nature of the mountains.

The Dolomiti Nordic Walking Park in Pinzolo extends from Prà Rodont at an elevation of 1,500 meters (4,920ft), accessible by gondola lift from Pinzolo, to Dos del Sabion at an elevation of 2,100m (6,890ft).

The are 5 itineraries of various difficulty levels, length and total climb, for a total of 27km (16.8mi).

The routes are marked by signposts along the trails, which indicate the type of itinerary and the remaining travel time.

Length: 4.1km (2.55mi)

Total climb: 175 meters (574 feet)

Length: 7.1km (4.4mi)

Total climb: 290 meters (951 feet)

A walk to discover local traditions at some of the most lovely cabins of the Dos del Sabion

Length: 3.4km (2.1mi)

Total climb: 180 meters (591 feet)

High-altitude circuit with a stunning view of the spires of the Brenta Group and the glaciers of the Adamello Presanella Group

Route no. 4 CIOCA

Length: 6.1km (3.8mi)

Downhill itinerary

Descent from Dos del Sabion with a one-of-a-kind view of the entire Val Rendena valley

The Dolomiti Nordic Walking Park in Madonna di Campiglio includes 6 itineraries of varying difficulties and total climb, which start right in the heart of the Campiglio valley and extend for a total of 32km (20mi).

The altitude of the park ranges from 1,550 meters (5,085ft) to 2,100 meters (6,890ft) at Spinale

Total climb: 210 meters (689 feet)

Downhill itinerary.

From Monte Spinale, you descend to Madonna di Campiglio while enjoying a great many vista points overlooking the town, as well as Piazza Imperatrice, a favorite spot of Elizabeth of Bavaria.

Total climb: 180 meters (591 feet)
