Michele Valerio, the leading figure of skiroll
Born in 1999, Michele grew up as Nordic Ski athlete in the U.S. Carisolo sport club.
He specialized then in Skiroll, of which he is considered one of the most promising youngsters.
In 2018 he obtained the Junior Sprint italian title, replied in 2019 too, year in which he participated to the Italian National team’s training camp in Pinzolo.
His sporting CV includes a second place in the sprint race at the Italian Championships in Bobbio, september 2019 and two third places in Trento in 2021 and 2022.
Also in 2022, in Rieti, he achieved a fourth place at the World Cup in the senior category supersprint speciality, with which he improved on the two fifth places he obtained last year, one in a super sprint and one in a flat mass start (Banska Bystrika-Slovakia).
In Ziano di Fiemme, he gained his best result with a fifth place in the senior category super sprint, at the World Championships (improving on his eight place in 2019 in Madona-Lettonia).
In 2022 in the absolute Italian Cup category, he reached the podium 7 times with: 2 third places in a super sprint, 1 third place in a long sprint, 1 third place in a flat mass start and 3 second places in a super sprint.
