Athabaska invites you to experience the thrill of a sled race. The instructor can accompany you on a fantastic ride during which you will be comfortably seated on a sled, enjoying the skill of our dogs and the enchanting landscapes of the Dolomites, or you may decide to treat yourself to a romantic dinner in a chalet, arriving by dogsled, for the thrill of nighttime excursion. Winter trips take place every day in Madonna di Campiglio (TN) at Piana di Nambino.
For the more adventurous, but also for those who just want to experience the thrill of dog sledding firsthand, we organize one-day, two-day or weeklong courses as well.
Winter activities
- Sleddog baptism: driving-alaskan husky sledge training and test. Also for groups.
- Dogsledding tour: tour with instructor in the amazing landscape of the Brenta Dolomites.
In the summer, when the winter sleds have been put away, the Athabaska dogs offer you another great way to enjoy their company: dog-trekking, i.e. taking a walk, immersed in the green forests of Trentino, attached to the dogs by a harness tied at the waist, the dog patiently helping us up the climbs and waiting for us on the descents.
Dog trekking is an activity for everyone, adults and children alike (children will be helped by their parents or by the instructor), groups, schools or families.
The duration can vary from a couple of hours to a full day, for which there will be a picnic lunch in the middle of nature.
