Built before 1300, for years it has been entrusted to the custody of a hermit. It has a gabled roof covered with larch shingles. Don't miss the frescoes on the outer walls
This beautiful hut-roofed parish church was built before 1300 and has been entrusted to a hermit for many years. The outer walls house frescoes attributed to Cristoforo Baschenis (early 16th century). The façade, above the granite architrave portal, was frescoed by another painter in 1481: among the various depictions is the Deposition of Christ, with the Virgin and the saints dearest to the valley. The interior, with a rectangular plan and a small granite altar, is also painted: the frescoes depict the Christ Pantocrator with the symbols of the four evangelists, the Madonna on the throne with the Child, on the sides of Sant'Antonio and Santa Barbara.
