Tione e le sue fontane

Tione E Le Sue Fontane title=

Discovering the hamlet of Tione and the historic fountains in the different districts, which tell the customs and customs of the past in a poetic and concrete way.

In the past, fountains were the places to draw drinking water to bring into homes and in whose basins cattle were watered. Tione has enjoyed for centuries the waterways that descended from Adamello and the limestone slopes of the opposite slope, so much so that as early as 1502 there were testimonies of the presence of three aqueducts. Starting from Brevine, the historic centre of the village, you meet the fountain of Piazza Marconi, then that of the Cantes district and finally that of the Bigolot, the Lavandin dei Boron and the fountain of Piazza dei Mazzè. In the district of Pleù there is a square, in the center of which a stone fountain was built and in the square of the Sivrè district the one built with the new town center, after the fire of 1871.

STRENGTH
The opportunity to understand the crucial role that fountains played in the past.
