WHEN WILL I BE NOTIFIED IF MY ABSTRACT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED?

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of the Conference, which reserves the right to refuse any abstracts deemed unsuitable and to decide the type of presentation. Therefore, the Scientific Committee may ask you to send a contribution in poster format even if you would prefer to make an oral presentation. The Scientific Committee will notify its decision to the primary author within the end of June.

Please note that all communications during the review process will be restricted to the primary author only.

I NEED IT TO OBTAIN THE VISA FOR ITALY. HOW TO PROCEDE FOR THE INVITATION LETTER ASKING FOR MY PRESENCE TO THE CONFERENCE?

Please send by email to info@campigliodolomiti.it the following data:

  • Nationality
  • Surname
  • First name
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Place of work or study and current position
  • Passport number, date of issue and expiration
  • Purpose of visit
  • Category or type of VISA
  • Date of entry and exit in Italy
  • Name of host organisation you intend to visit
  • Route of journey

We will prepare your invitation letter and send you back as soon as possible.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PARTNER'S REGISTRATION?
The registration as partner allows to participate to:

  • daily guided excursions with Park experts;
  • dinners and entertainment together with the Conference attendees;
  • mid-conference field trip, with the Conference attendees.


Partners are not allowed to attend the Conference scientific program.

CALL FOR PAPERS – DEADLINE 15 MAY 2018

The Conference language is English. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. When you submit your abstract, you will receive a confirmation email. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to refuse any abstracts deemed unsuitable and to decide the presentation method. Therefore, you may be asked to contribute in poster format by the Science Committee, even if your preference is to make an oral presentation. Notification of the Scientific Committee decision will be sent to the corresponding author within the end of June.

CAN I INCLUDE MY ABSTRACT IF I WILL NOT ATTEND THE CONFERENCE?

We confirm you that it is possible to include your abstract without your visit, if at least one of the authors will attend the Conference and will present your work.

WILL THERE BE TRANSFERS AVAILABLE FROM MY AIRPORT?

There will be a transfer service to reach Madonna di Campiglio 24-hour from the airports of Milan, Venice, Verona, Bergamo, Brescia, Bolzano and Innsbruck and from the railway stations of Trento and Bolzano. You can book the service in the section “ How to arrive”.

WILL I RECEIVE AN INVOICE OR RECEIPT FOR MY REGISTRATION?

Yes. At the confirmation page of online registration you will receive an summarising e-mail. If you would instead an invoice please write at following email address: amministrazione@campigliodolomiti.it

CAN I SEND SOMEBODY ELSE IN MY PLACE IF I CANNOT ATTEND THE CONFERENCE AFTER REGISTERING ONLINE?

Yes. You can arrange to substitute another person at any time before the Conference starts, just let the Conference organisers know.

WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION CHARGES?

1. If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason they may substitute, by arrangement with the Conference organizers, someone else from the same institute/organization.

2. Where the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person or to another event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

  • a. Registrations cancelled more than 90 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
  • b. Registrations cancelled less than 90 but more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
  • c. Registrations cancelled less than 60 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.

3. Registrations from authors cancelled as a result of a paper not being accepted will be refunded 50% of the registrations fees.

4. Cancellations made after a failed visa application will have the registration fee refunded, but an administration charge of 100 € (EURO) will be applied per participant registered. Please note that notification of a failed visa application must be received by us in writing (email or fax) less than 15 days before the event, for refunds to be eligible.

5. Conference proceedings and material for registered participants who are for whatever reason unable to attend will be mailed by regular post to the address we have on the Registration Form. This will only be done once. Please ensure we have your correct mailing address on file.

6. Refunds will be made by bank transfer to the payee nominated account. Please note that for payments received from outside Italy, the refund procedure may include bank charges: all bank charges will be for the registrants account.

CAN I PAY BY BANK TRANSFER RATHER THAN CREDIT CARD?

Yes. When you register, you can choose to pay by bank transfer. Please note that all bank costs and money transfer costs must be prepaid by the registrants. So, be sure to pay all fees charged from your bank.

The registration is effective only when/if we receive the exactly due amount in full. If payment is done by bank transfer, the order of payment should include your name as the issuer of the transference.

After registration you must send proof of payment to the Conference Secretariat by the e-mail info@campigliodolomiti.it

Registration fee includes: coffee breaks, lunch and dinner during the period of attendance (excluded 12th and 14th dinner). Mid- Conference Field trip are included.

HOW DO I BOOK MY ACCOMMODATION?

You can book your accommodation in the section “Organise Your Stay” Booking your accommodation through the Conference website offers you the reassurance that your chosen hotel is one of our listed suppliers, with special rates .The hotels are arranged according to the distance from the Congress Venue. The rates shown are reserved to the participants in the Conference and yet with a discount of 10% compared to the list prices.

HOW CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY HOTEL BOOKING?

In your confirmation email you will find the cancelation policy. To make changes such as booking extra nights, upgrading your room, or cancelling your booking, please contact directly the hotel. 

CAN I BOOK AN EXHIBITION STAND AT GGN2018?

Yes you can be part of the Geofair, the exhibition of the world's UNESCO Global Geoparks. For a cost of Euro 300 you will benefit from a 3x2m stand in the exhibition shell scheme.

The price includes: 1 table + 2chairs + 1 panel with company name and logo, 1 earthed socket at the floor, wood pavement or moquettes, wi fi. You can select this option during online registration for the Conference.

Other services will be offered with payment of extra fees (local printing of posters, rental of screens, dvd player, laptop). If you are interested in register, please send us the name of the Geopark or of  your Company and we'll send you as soon as possible complete information.
