Bocenago is the Val Rendena town featuring the best conserved architecture typical of the areas mountain villages: rustic homes with characteristic wood roofs, granite doorways, religious murals decorating the façades, fountains, and beautiful views with an ancient feel.
This gallery houses a permanent exhibit of historical crafts, offering a journey of the senses through disappearing customs and a workshop of knowledge surrounding the initiative “Vecchia Ren- dena. Come eravamo: quattro passi fra vecchi mestieri e usanze” (Old Rendena. How we were: a walk through old crafts and customs), which is held each year in Bocenago on August 15th and features some 250 people reenacting life as it was in the early 1900s.
Beautiful waterfalls just a short walk from town are to be found in the woods on the eastern face of the mountain along a recently refurbished trail.
