One of the Trentino region’s most beautiful landmarks, this church was first erected prior to 1000 and was reconstructed in 1515. The building is home to masterpieces of the Baschenis of Averara, famous artists from Bergamo. In 1539, Simone Baschenis painted the famous “Dance of Death” of the southern façade, depicting a long sequence of characters intermingled with the dancing figure of Death.
