Near Righi square there is the monument
dedicated to the alpine guides:
the figure of an alpine guide in bronze is climbing
a Val Genova-granite peak.
The monument was made by
the friar Silvio Bottes,
and it was inaugurated in 1974.
Near the little lake there
is a museum, open only in some periods
of the year, dedicated to the historical
alpine guides’ families and people
that contributed to the development
of Madonna di Campiglio.
The exhibition itinerary shows memoirs,
photos, diaries, ropes and ice axes,
tools of the alpine guides deeds on the
Dolomites peaks and other mountains.
