The exhibition focuses on the challenging post-war context in which parties and movements, united by massive popular participation, mobilized to demand a new institutional framework. Through archival materials, photographs, documents, newspaper articles, and posters, the exhibition:
-
Reconstructs the years culminating in the granting of the Statute of Autonomy for the Trentino-Alto Adige Region.
-
Examines, in particular, the history of the Associazione Studi Autonomistici Regionali (ASAR), marking the 80th anniversary of its foundation, a fundamental popular movement that mobilized thousands of citizens.
This historical perspective aims to prompt reflection on the importance of citizen participation in political life during times, like the present, marked by strong disengagement.
