The Pro Loco di Caderzone Terme organizes a concert by the Municipal Band at the Borgo della Salute in Caderzone Terme.
The Municipal Band of Caderzone Terme has ancient roots, having been founded in 1853 and later named the Società filarmonica Cantatrice. It was one of the first musical societies in Trentino and the Giudicarie area, with an ensemble of 24 musicians all from Caderzone.
The band gained distinction during the visit of His Imperial Majesty Franz Joseph I of Austria to Madonna di Campiglio. The circumstances that led to the dissolution of the society during the First World War remain unknown. After many decades of silence, in November 1991, a group of music enthusiasts involved the whole community in the decision to re-establish the band.
With more than 30 members joining, the Municipal Band of Caderzone officially returned in January 1992. Its debut performance took place on June 21, 1992, accompanying the Corpus Domini procession through the streets of the historic town center.
The uniforms are inspired by the traditional clothing of Val Rendena from the early twentieth century, while the repertoire ranges from folkloric music of the Austrian and German band tradition to modern compositions for concert band.
