Amid the walls of the Dolomites, climbing becomes a metaphor for an inner journey, in which pushing beyond one’s limits represents not only a personal achievement but also an experience of deep connection. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Dolomiti Open association.
PROGRAM:
9:00 p.m.: Greetings from the authorities
9:15 p.m.: Screening of the documentary film *La Cima*
Set against the backdrop of the Brenta Open, three people with different stories, experiences, and physical abilities find in climbing the Dolomites an opportunity for connection, growth, and shared experience, discovering a new way of living and interpreting the mountains.
The documentary chronicles the daily lives and athletic training of Kevin Ferrari, Nicolle Boroni, and Gianluigi Rosa, leading up to the collective climb that represents the culmination of their journey.
Through the protagonists’ testimonies, archival footage, and evocative immersive shots, the ascent is portrayed not merely as a sporting feat, but as a shared space for listening—one marked by exertion, silence, trust, and acts of solidarity.
In the dialogue between humanity and nature, the summit is not merely the final destination of the climb but becomes an invitation to reflect on whether the limits we believe we have are truly insurmountable.
Following the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with director Simone Cargnoni and the protagonists of the documentary.
