THE LIFE AND POETRY OF TREES, with Mino Petazzini, poet.
PROGRAMME:
9.00 am: Meet at Piazza Palù, Madonna di Campiglio.
A morning walk in the cool of the woods at the entrance to Vallesinella, listening to the echoes that trees evoke in the human soul. A gentle walk with stops along the way, readings and reflections on the relationship between humans and the plant world.
A relationship that proves to be profound and fruitful, as demonstrated by the anthology compiled by the writer and poet Mino Petazzini, who has gathered words about trees from all corners of the world and throughout the ages. From the Epic of Gilgamesh, humanity’s oldest poem, to Walt Whitman, who saw the fate of a nation in the sacrifice of a great sequoia, right through to the manifest closeness to nature displayed by modern authors. A hymn to the closeness between humankind and the silent, essential companions of our lives, recounting the beauty and cruelty of the world, its immense power and its stark fragility.
A forestry expert paves the way to a vital understanding of the forest’s cycle.
In collaboration with the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
