Maso Loera: the "masseria" in Val Rendena where everything is family

When you step through the threshold of Maso Loera, you enter a unique place where history, tradition, and innovation intertwine, and so do the grapevines in the rows of the maso, which embraces over one-hectare land at an altitude of 650 meters.

Maso Loera is an ancient farmhouse set in the village of Pelugo, in Val Rendena. Here, Roberta and Paolo have established their mountain farm that produces various types of wine, including Lena, a delightful organic white wine.

Paolo and Roberta are partners in life and work. Today, they produce wine that they ship throughout Italy.

"It has always been my dream. As a professional athlete, I had little time to dedicate myself to nature and the land, but now it's my main activity," Paolo Pangrazzi, former world cup athlete and ski instructor, tells us about himself. "The farmhouse used to belong to my grandfather, and here I find myself, my people, my history, my family". And it is right here that the grape has been grafted and grown, giving life and color to Lena, the first wine of Maso Loera.

"Lena takes the name from the saying 'di buona lena' because making good wine at high altitudes (at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites), requires true care and perseverance, and also a pinch of courage," says Roberta Tisi, a young entrepreneur who has always been involved in the family farm. She actually knows well what it means to manage a business connected to the land, the life cycles of raw materials, and hospitality.

"Here I find myself, my people, my history, my family".

And when they talk about family, at Maso Loera it's a burst of laughter, pats on the shoulder, and teamwork. So, during the grape harvest, it's not uncommon to see a buzz of activity and a flurry of children, sisters, brothers, relatives, and friends gathering together in the vineyards of the farmhouse, spending intense but happy days.

Lena is an organic white wine produced from Solaris, a resistant variety perfectly suited for the temperature and ideal for organic and biodynamic farming. Its fruity notes, intense and mineral flavors, and a hint of acidity make it a balanced wine, perfect for those who want to indulge in a burst of natural taste.
