EVENT DESCRIPTION
How many of us could name, without hesitation, ten women artists? Properzia de’ Rossi, Angelica Kauffman, Marie Bracquemond, or Lee Krasner are probably unfamiliar names to most. Since our school years, we’ve been taught art history through a male lens, as if talent and creativity were linked only to testosterone. But reality tells a very different story!
From Renaissance sculptors to 18th-century painters, from the protagonists of Impressionism to the figures of American Abstract Expressionism, Jacopo Veneziani restores voice and dignity to extraordinary women who defied prejudice and stereotypes and left an indelible mark on the world of art.
This event is part of PARIDEE, the Fondazione Caritro initiative for gender equality.
What is PARIDEE?
Projects, collaborations, and events spread across the Trentino region, meeting the community through stories, perspectives, and reflections with the goal of promoting gender equality.
