CANTICI D'OGGI L'ISOLA TRA LE SELVE (THE ISLAND AMONGST THE WOODS), with Umberto Piersanti, poet candidate for the Nobel Prize for literature and Massimo Parolini, moderator.
PROGRAMME:
5.30 p.m.: at the Sala della Cultura.
The Canticle of Francis is a eulogy to nature. Poets have always resonated with that song that resonates with our souls. Umberto Piersanti, with his poetic word, honours the landscape as a source from which to water our thoughts and spirits.
A journey into the thick of the paths where he still breathes the sense of nature, passing through the Cesane Urbino landscape to open his gaze towards the human.
He has published numerous poetry collections, won the Saba Prize 2021 and the Camaiore Special Prize 2021. Since 2016, he has been President of the Giacomo Leopardi World Poetry Centre in Recanati.
