Walk with Mountain Friends to discover the many nature reserves and visitor trails that make up the rich thematic programme of the Sarca River Park. We will get to know them together on the numerous excursions proposed, delve into the various naturalistic, historical and artistic aspects, meet with experts, visit farms and talk to the people who inhabit these places.
An excursion suitable for everyone, immersed in the picturesque river environment between Tione and Borgo Lares, where the Arnò Torrent flows channelled and controlled into the Sarca River. Here its waters feed the trout farms. During the walk, we will explore the deep connection between water and territory, discovering its past and present uses: from fishing to energy production, to the ancient forges and glassworks that once animated the area. There will also be a visit to the Tione hydroelectric power station, to understand at first hand the value of water as a sustainable resource.
PROGRAMME:
9.00am: meeting at the village of Tione di Trento and start of the hike.
3.00pm: end of activity
