Giro-E Enel: exclusive bike experience
ALONG THE ROADS OF THE GIRO D’ITALIAThe Giro-E Enel is an exclusive e-bike experience that takes place on the same days and along the same roads as the Giro d’Italia, discovering the beauty of our country.
From May 12 to 31, the competition is divided into 18 stages covering 1.091 kilometers, with shorter routes and dedicated start locations. Each stage finish precedes the professional race and takes place under the same finish arch, with an awards ceremony on the professionals’ podium.
The stage that involves our area will start in the heart of Tione di Trento and will end in Andalo.
E-BIKE AND RACE FORMAT
Thanks to e-road bikes, the Giro-E Enel allows trained cyclists to tackle the major climbs of the Corsa Rosa.
The race is held exclusively with approved pedal-assist bicycles (250W, speed limited to 25 km/h), provided by the teams. Stages are ridden in groups, with regularity sections and special tests, and conclude with a parade of the teams, which will arrive one by one under the finish arch.
THE GIRO-E AND SUSTAINABILITY
One of the main goals of the competition is to raise public awareness of sustainable mobility and environmental sustainability.
The Giro-E Enel is accompanied by the Green Fun Village, which follows the event to every starting city.
THE GREEN FUN VILLAGEA village set up by Continental with the support of RCS Sport, where the public can have fun thanks to the involvement of local associations. During the day, there will be moments of dance, singing, and sports activities for both children and adults.
A full program of events accompanies the cyclists’ departures and continues throughout the afternoon.
