The association ‘Il Chiese’ and the Consortium B.I.M. organise treks to discover the works in the villages of the Valle del Chiese. Travelling through the valley in stages, you can learn and obtain interesting information on the culture and history of the area. for each village a dedicated event.
A walk from the river to the historic centre, passing by the church of San Michele.
Darzo's past is closely linked to mining, which characterised the growth of the town in the last century. The memories of this recent past, still alive in the minds of the elderly, are brought back to life by a number of murals painted on the buildings of the village. But contemporary paintings are not the only artistic testimony: the medieval church of San Michele houses a surprising Renaissance fresco. Starting from the banks of the Chiese river, the tour will visit the church on the edge of the village and then delve into the murals of the historic centre, revealing hidden glimpses and stories of a rather small community with a very rich past.
