The Forte Ampola Park

WhereThe Forte Ampola Park is located in the centre of the Val d’Ampola, a valley connecting the Valle del Chiese and the Valle di Ledro of which it is a geographical extension.

cultural pathcultural path has been created thanks to a redevelopment project to enhance the former Forte Ampola and the settlements that have shaped the area from 1700 to the present day. The project has also involved the surrounding environment of naturalistic interest.
The cultural path winds through nature inside the ancient ruins, providing a unique experience.

Ruins and landscapeThe presence of the ruins on the area becomes part of the cultural landscape: they represent evocative fragments of a past historical period, they mark at the same time an absence and a presence, an intersection between the visible and the invisible and offer the visitor an opportunity to "feel the time".

The pedestrian bridge The reconstructed pedestrian bridge over the Rio Citta and the footbridge over the ancient bastion offer a spectacular view of the Rio and the waterfall on the Palvico Torrent. You can enjoy charming views in an unspoilt environment, and immerse yourself in the nature and history of the place.

Visit timeThe park can be visited all day long but also in the evening hours, when you can plunge into a fascinating atmosphere full of magical and mysterious effects.
