The route for the most prepared cyclists with 3 of the 23 legendary climbs: Passo Durone near Comano, Passo Daone and Madonna di Campiglio, finishing at Passo Campo Carlo Magno.
The route starts from Pinzolo, a town in the center of Val Rendena following the Sarca stream up to Comano Terme. From here begins the first climb of the day: Passo Durone, a fairly rideable ascent with an average gradient of 6%. After reaching the first GPM, you descend reaching Bolbeno, then head toward Preore, the starting point of the second climb, which is Passo Daone, definitely more challenging than the previous one with an average gradient of 9.4% for a length of over 8 km.
After crossing Passo Daone, you arrive at Spiazzo Rendena, climbing steadily again up to Pinzolo, ready for the third legendary climb, Madonna di Campiglio. This climb has an average gradient of 5.7% but is longer than 15 km and made even harder by the fact that it follows the over 2000 m already climbed. The top of the climb is also the highest point of the route, Passo Campo Carlo Magno. From here you descend along the same road climbed to return to the starting point: Pinzolo.
Good physical preparation is essential.
