Dos di Laven and Cima Rive with snowshoes

Dos di Laven and Cima Rive with snowshoes title=

Beautiful route in Valle del Chiese, with stunning panorama over Lake Idro.

The route starts above the village of Brione, from an altitude that may vary depending on snow conditions. Following the road or cutting across slopes, you reach an aqueduct at 1550 m, either directly with snowshoes or by driving higher in the car as far as possible.

By a clear path, enter the forest to emerge just below Dos di Laven. From here two options open.

The first directly climbs the SSE ridge to reach Dos di Laven, continues on the ridge up to Cima Rive, then returns the same way (WT2). The second bypasses Dos di Laven at its base and near Malga Serollo climbs the NW ridge of Cima Rive, continues on the ridge back to Dos di Laven and descends the SSE ridge (WT3). The same descent to the valley is used for both options, along the forest trail.

On the way back, descending from Doss di Laven, if with snowshoes, stay on the line made uphill in the forest until the aqueduct (no descent on the east side).
