Laghi di Cornisello route n°979

Tour Laghi di Cornisello n°979 title=

Long ascent that from Sant Antonio di Mavignola climbs the Val Nambrone up to reach the Laghi di Cornisello.

The route starts from Sant Antonio di Mavignola and continues along the road of Val Nambrone up to the laghi di Cornisello. The road and the cable car opposite the rifugio Nambrone date back to the 1950s and were built to create a dam near the lakes.
The upper station of the cable car is located going up shortly after the rifugio Cornisello. The dam was never built but fortunately the road was completed.

Pay close attention to traffic, both uphill and downhill, especially during peak season!

To tackle this route you need a good training unless you use an E-BIKE.

Once you reach the hut of the Laghi di Cornisello, return following the outward route, because the road that continues then becomes a non-bikeable path. The path can be done carrying the bike and you reach the rifugio Cornisello from above but it is recommended only for trained and expert bikers.

Also on the way back, once back to the wide gravel parking area, instead of going directly down the asphalt road you can go up to the right for 300 m towards the Rifugio Cornisello, from where there is an excellent view of the Gruppo del Brenta.
