Very exposed route, of medium difficulty, often tackled as a start or end path of the Bocchette Alte. Requires good physical endurance and absence of vertigo.
The Olivia Detassis Via Ferrata leads from the Lower Massodi Pass to the Brentei glacier passing under the west ridge of Cima Molveno.
Well equipped with ropes and long vertical ladders, it overcomes a rock wall of about a hundred meters offering overhanging passages along vertical walls and narrow ledge paths that require good athletic skills and endurance. The path, above the former Brenta glacier, is a tribute from the Detassis brothers Bruno, Giordano, and Catullo to their mother Oliva.
The ferrata takes between 2 and 3 hours, but when calculating overall times, it is necessary to also consider approach and return times (another 4-6 hours).
The long ladders, exposed and vertical, make it a rather tiring route. Possibility of wet terrain until late summer.
