Medium-length stage in the heart of the Adamello Park, almost entirely downhill, moving from high-altitude landscapes (thus glaciers and pointed peaks) to the green Val Genova, watered by abundant meltwaters.
From Rifugio Mandron, following trail 212 you arrive in a few minutes at the Adamello Study Center "Julius Payer" (2,493 m), where a permanent exhibition allows you to learn about the Adamello, the largest Italian glacier (in this section the Peace Path coincides with the Virgilio Marchetti Nature Route). Continuing, you reach in less than two hours the Adamello Collini hut “al Bedole” (1,631 m, tel. +39 0465 501405) and then by carriage road (about 8 km) the Ponte Maria (1,164 m) and Rifugio Fontanabona.
