Challenging ascent in the heart of the Dolomites passing through the best-known refuges of the Brenta: Casinei Refuge, Maria and Alberto Ai Brentei Refuge, and Alimonta Refuge.
Classic refuges route in its more challenging variant up to the Alimonta Refuge, in the Conca degli Sfulmini, the rocky amphitheater among the most beautiful of the Brenta Dolomites.
Positioned on a rocky plateau reminiscent of a lunar landscape, the refuge, the highest in altitude among the Brenta Dolomites refuges, is the central passage point of the famous via delle Bocchette, at the foot of the Sfulmini Glacier and about forty minutes from Bocca d'Armi.
The ascent is steady and challenging but the magnificent panorama of the Adamello-Presanella Group rewards every effort.
From the Alimonta Refuge, you can access the via delle Bocchette (equipment for via ferratas is required).
