Classic ascent to the welcoming Rifugio Segantini, an incredible panoramic viewpoint over the Brenta Dolomites. Moderately challenging route with great satisfaction.
Rifugio Segantini is the starting point for numerous hikes, from shorter and easier ones to the nearby Cornisello lakes to more challenging and technical ones for experienced alpinists. Among these, the ascent to Cima della Presanella (3558 m) from Val Rendena is certainly the most prestigious hike that can be done starting from Rifugio Segantini.
There are a couple of options to reach Rifugio Segantini coming from Val Nambrone:
- in about 1 hour from Rifugio Cornisello (trail no. 216), passing through Bocca dell’Om and passing by Lago Nero.
- from the ruins of Malga Vallina d’Amola (2020 m), which can be reached by car following the road to the Cornisello lakes, also about 1 hour.
If you leave the car at Rifugio Cornisello and reach Vallina d'Amola, you need to allow about 3 km to return to the starting parking lot.
