Beautiful and easy route in the wild Val Genova that leads from Malga Bedole to Malga Matarot Bassa, facing the homonymous waterfalls.
Leave the car at the Malga Bèdole parking lot and take the dirt road to Rifugio Bèdole.
Upon reaching the suggestive Ponte delle Cambiali, overlooking a deep gorge, climb left along a stepped path up to Màndra Mataròt. From here you can admire from below the Lobbia glacier from which the impetuous Mataròt waterfall breaks off, plunging forcefully between endless expanses of ice and gigantic rock pyramids.
The Mataròt Waterfall is one of the numerous waterfalls of Val Genova, the most impressive. Considered one of the wonders of the Alps, it is a 400-meter wall of water that flows brightly and impetuously, creating a loud roar.
