One of the most fascinating and easy trekking routes in Trentino
The loop develops in one of the places that has become a symbol of the mountains in our province. In the crystal-clear waters of the picturesque Lakes of Garzonè and San Giuliano, the main destination of the itinerary, reflects the unmistakable outline of Cima Presanella, the highest peak of Trentino.
The route first touches the enchanting Lake of Vacarsa and then climbs to the “Bocchetta dell’Acqua Fredda”, the highest point, before descending to the Lakes and to the San Giuliano Refuge from where the loop is closed. It is precisely in this second part that the hiker is immersed in the fantastic realm of perennial ice, with wide views over the peaks of the Carè Alto Group and the Presanella massif.
This is a moderately challenging route and the 800 m of elevation gain overcome are amply rewarded by the natural environment through which you pass.
