Challenging winter route suitable for ski mountaineering starting from Campo Carlo Magno, passing through several mountain huts and leading to the intermediate station of the Grostè cable car.
The excursion initially passes through the plateau of Campo Carlo Magno up to Malga Mondifrà: an open environment very well exposed to the sun throughout the day; then you enter a dense and evocative coniferous forest dominated by Norway spruce alternated with white spruces and larches. Here you encounter the Malghe Vaglianella and Vagliana, near which the vegetation begins to thin out. Looking up, you can admire up close the imposing southern faces of the Dolomite massifs of Vagliana and Pietra Grande; further south, the view spans the central part of the Brenta Dolomites and the ski slopes of Grostè, encountered at the end of the itinerary near Rifugio Boch.
Along the route, you will encounter three refreshment points: the Carlo Magno Rest Stop, Malga Mondifrà, and Rifugio Boch.
