A medium-difficulty hike through the unspoilt landscapes of Valle di San Valentino, Valle Dosson and Valletta Alta, offering evocative views.
Valletta Alta is the valley that connects Valle di San Valentino to the pass of thesame name, crossing Valle Dosson.
A challenging trek among waterfalls, lakes and Alpine rivers. The entrance to Valle di San Valentino is characterised by meadows, mountain pastures, wooden huts and ancient stone paths, which lead to the edge of the forest, where you enter a realm of water.
Amidst waterfalls and the incredible views of Carè Alto, you will find underground torrents flowing over granite slabs and offering some unique water features. Finally, you will reach the picturesque alpine lake of Valletta Alta.
This enchanting place is far from the most popular tourist destinations. If you follow the entire length of Valletta Alta, you will reach Passo di San Valentino (2765 m), where the remains of Austrian fortifications can be found. This is the oldest pass between Val Rendena and Val di Fumo.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
