Designed in 1940 by a commission chaired by Bruno Detassis, mountaineer and director of the first ski school in Madonna di Campiglio, the Canalone Miramonti is a skiing legend.
A challenging technical track, modulated by decisive changes of slope, in 1967 it hosted the first men's World Cup race held in Italy. The track, home to several World Cup and European Alpine Ski Cup competitions, as well as the Junior World Championships of the same discipline, the Snowboard World Championships and the Freestyle World Championships, is today the home of the 3Tre, the historic event conceived in 1948 and which has become a fixed stage of the FIS calendar.
