In Val Rendena, at one time, the processing of vegetable fibres, in particular hemp, was very widespread: in every country there was a place dedicated to this activity and today they still retain the toponym linked to this work: the masse.
What does it mean? This dialectal name could, correctly, remind us of the "macerate" that was one of the fundamental steps for the transformation of hemp from a plant to a tissue.

The Parco Màsere di Pelugo is a lovely park on the banks of the Sarca River, a destination or starting point for relaxing walks or open-air afternoons, thanks to its playground, the new restaurant bar and the cycle path that runs through it.
