Rifugio San Giuliano

Rifugio San Giuliano title=

At 1960 meters above sea level, completely renovated a few years ago, immersed in greenery and reflected in the blue of its two ponds, the San Giuliano refuge offers an oasis of peace to those who want to carve out a moment of tranquility.

For those who love mountain walks, but also for those who are a little lazy, the refuge is easily accessible in just over an hour on foot along a mostly flat path.

The refuge is located in the centre of an idyllic basin of glacial origin, where the ice of Adamello Presanella has polished the rocks of Tonalite for millions of years, leaving behind a furrow with a characteristic "U" shape. The subsequent retreat of these tongues of ice caused by the rise in temperature, has brought out this beautiful basin that today, in addition to being a destination for many tourists, is very rich in  biodiversity. These  ecosystems and territories are part of and are today protected by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, which is committed to preserving their history and uniqueness.

STRENGTH:

The wonderful view of the Adamello glaciers and Cima Presanella.
