It can be visited all year round.
Nestled between the 12 km of the Trentino shores of Lake Idro, awarded the prestigious Blue Flag since 2017, the Nature Reserve is what remains of a large lake area, once extended in the northern area of the lake, reclaimed since 1848. Rich in plant and animal biodiversity, it still preserves its original natural habitats where you can admire a conspicuous variety of still, passing or wintering water birds. Svasso, Folaga, Gallinella Reale, Porciglione, Tarabusino, Nitticora, Herone Cenerino, Martin Pescatore, River Nightingale and many other birds can be observed in their environment, without causing any disturbance.
