The San Giorgio di Castel Condino Music Band, together with local associations, is organising a walk through the fields of Castel Condino to promote and enhance the area, its typical products, its unique landscape features and local history, particularly that linked to the First World War.
PROGRAMME:
From 10.00am to 4.00pm: food and wine walk through the streets and fields of Castel Condino with tasting of typical local products.
Walk to the village of Navale and meeting with Francesco Bolognini, a local historian who will recount some of the events of the tragedy that struck the Valle del Chiese.
First refreshment stop at ‘Pozze’:
aperitif and platter of local products accompanied by the music of Gianfranco Demadonna.
Aperitif: sparkling wine (Antares), white wine, red wine and mineral water, and a platter with lard, salami, cheese and bread.
Second refreshment point at ‘Piloc’:
a short walk along the farm road leads to the second refreshment point in ‘Piloc’ where lunch will be served with typical local dishes and musical entertainment by Stefano Bordiga.
Lunch: bread, trout fillet, roast beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes.
Third refreshment point at ‘Sambe’:
return to the village, reaching the third refreshment point in ‘Sambe’ dedicated to local desserts, and continue towards the historic centre to meet some local farmers offering their products.
Dessert: local desserts.
