The event is part of the SUPERPARK initiative, visions of the author.
The project stems from the concept of active protection of the territory, proposing initiatives that go beyond the conservation of the territory, with a view to enhancing and raising awareness of both those who live outside the Park's borders and those who live within the protected area.
PROGRAM:
9.15 p.m. : At Castel Romano in Por, screening of the comedy-drama Hen – Story of a Chicken.
The director of the unforgettable Taxidermia (Cannes 2006) tells the story of a chicken, beginning with the moment the egg is laid. Adopting the bird’s perspective, he creates a disorienting, unsettling, and deeply post-human experience. Determined, resilient, and fiercely protective of her chicks and freedom, the hen encounters a range of animals—a fox, a mouse, a worm, a hawk, a dog, and even dinosaurs in a television documentary. Yet she inevitably crosses paths with humans as well, witnessing their violence, tragedies, and injustices, both great and small. Sometimes she is an unaware observer; at other times, an unwitting catalyst for the events that unfold.
