Carisolo Pro Loco is organizing a guided hike to the Hermitage of San Martino with local guide Michela Collini.
PROGRAM:
9:20 AM: Departure from the bus stop in Carisolo.
After departure: A challenging ascent to the hermitage (1,226 m above sea level) along a trail that winds through a beautiful beech forest. The route presents no major technical difficulties, but some sections are fairly steep. There are also a couple of exposed points, safely protected with metal safety cables.Upon reaching the church, there will be a stop for a packed lunch while enjoying panoramic views of Carisolo and the Val Genova valley. The return follows the same trail down to the junction leading to the locality of La Prisa. Visit to the Church of St. Stephen (S. Stefano) and return through the ancient chestnut grove. Important: Hiking boots or trekking shoes with non-slip soles are mandatory. Elevation gain: 450 m Elevation loss: 450 m

ACCESSIBILITY:
This event is not suitable for people with physical mobility difficulties.

A large free parking area is available in Carisolo near the Antica Segheria restaurant, close to the bus stop.
