Mountains and Dwellings is an exhibition that invites visitors to discover the natural and historical heritage of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park and the Giudicarie area.
The exhibition features works by Giorgio Salvato dedicated to the peaks of the Brenta and Adamello mountain ranges—the mountains—and paintings by Maria Teresa Carbonato documenting the rural settlements and traditional architecture of the Giudicarie—the dwellings.
The exhibition is complemented by a video featuring historical photographs from the late 19th century of the rocks and glaciers of the local mountains, taken by Giuseppe Garbari, together with images by G. B. Bosetti of the last remaining straw roofs on traditional rural dwellings in the Giudicarie.
The video also returns to the “turbulent present” evoked by Wuthering Heights, through period black-and-white images of the White War in the Adamello.
