The Florentine Nymph: an icon across the centuries

Via al Sole 30, Pinzolo

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Gabriella Brugnara presents a journey from ancient Greece to the contemporary world, through images, stories and metamorphoses. The project starts from the female figure that Aby Warburg recognizes in Ghirlandaio’s “The Birth of the Baptist”: a presence able to re-emerge over time and still speak to the present, a symbol of energy, movement and freedom. The event is organized by the Pinzolo Municipal Library with the Trentino Library System and the Pro Loco of Pinzolo, and is open to residents, guests and tourists.
