THE SONGS OF BROTHER SUN FROM CONTEMPLATION TO CARE OF THE CREATE: with Brother Stefano De Cao of the Order of Friars Minor of Varazze
PROGRAMME:
5.30 p.m.: at the Culture Hall.
The Canticle of the Creatures, a hymn of love that St Francis addresses to creation, is more topical than ever, containing a message of brotherhood and respect for nature that can only open up prospects of hope and salvation for our planet, where all creatures are interconnected.
The culture of care as the way to peace; the safeguarding of creation as a cultural, spiritual and educational challenge; Francis' “dance of praise” as a poetic antidote for not resigning oneself to the prevailing sadness in our society.
Brother Stefano collaborated in the planning of a six-part podcast ‘Con gli occhi di Francesco’ (With the eyes of Francis), produced by the Franciscan Festival on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the writing of the Canticle, filmed last May on the digital platform of Rai Play Sound.
