The association ‘Il Chiese’ and the Consortium B.I.M. organise treks to discover the works located within the villages of the Valle del Chiese. Walking through the valley in stages, you can learn and obtain interesting information on the culture and history of the area. for each village a dedicated event.
A simple stroll through the streets of the village of Storo, to discover how people used to live, and to ensure we do not forget the various activities that once brought life to this small village nestled between the mountains and the countryside. These activities have now been forgotten, preserved only in the memories of the few people who experienced them. Milk production and processing in the various ‘casei’ (cheese dairies), the cultivation of now-forgotten crops such as hemp and mulberry, and the small-scale craft trades of the ‘marangoni’ and ‘scarpolini’ will take centre stage on this walk.
At the end of the walk, there will be an opportunity to sample polenta carbonera in Piazza Europa as part of the “Festival della Polenta”, organised in the village by the Storo M2 Pro Loco.
