The association ‘Il Chiese’ and the Consortium B.I.M. organise treks to discover the works located within the villages of the Valle del Chiese. Walking through the valley in stages, you can learn and obtain interesting information on the culture and history of the area. for each village a dedicated event.
The village of Alpo is what is known as a plateau, a patch of flat land nestled amongst the peaks of the Brescia and Trentino Prelati mountains. For centuries, this has made it an important grazing area, home to a variety of animals, both wild and domesticated. This very rare environment also provides a refuge for many plant species, some of which are endemic, which have survived over the centuries thanks to a combination of a fairly high altitude and excellent exposure.
An easy walk through pastures and beech woods will allow you to explore the plateau and discover the unique characteristics of the animal and plant species that inhabit it.
