The Church of San Barnaba hosts an exhibition dedicated to the artist Mattioli, an Italian painter and leading figure of twentieth-century art, who was enamored with landscapes, humanity, and the ever-open question regarding the infinity that looms over them. In the sacristy, there is an in-depth exploration of human water usage, featuring the epic story behind the construction of the Daone Valley dam—admirably captured by the attentive eye of a young Ermanno Olmi, then an Edison employee, during the construction years. The smallest room features an investigation into Carlo Mattioli's relationship with the mountains during his stays in Madonna di Campiglio, presented through an interview with his granddaughter, Anna Zaniboni Mattioli.
