Hiking with Alpine guides from Trentino for the concert of the Sounds of the Dolomites on September 12, 2026.
Malga Movlina, at 1,800 m, is one of the most beautiful historic alpine pastures in Trentino: a panoramic balcony that overlooks the Brenta Dolomites to Adamello. It hosts herds of Rendena cows and goats, producing typical cheeses (including caciotte and goat cacioricotte) and felted wool crafts. A local legend tells that in 1155, for the possession of its rich pastures, the communities of Bleggio and Val Rendena challenged each other in a duel to the last blood — the "Judgment of God" — desired by the Prince Bishop of Trento: the victory of Bleggio made the pasture its property from then on. The Pinzolo Cable Cars were established in 1968 when 19 entrepreneurs and professionals from Val Rendena founded the company to enhance tourism at Doss del Sabion. Today, access is via a modern 10-seat gondola (LEITNER technology, 53 cabins with panoramic doors and a VIP cabin with a glass floor), covering 591 meters of elevation in just 4 and a half minutes, with two stations carved into the rock to minimize the visual impact on the mountain environment.
