Castel Romano is one of the symbols of the Chiese valley, a medieval fortress that has withstood the centuries until the First World War, during which it was mostly destroyed.
From its ruins, we will rediscover the life of the counts and the family that made it great in the past, leaving traces not only in the Chiese valley but throughout the Euregio.
The castle is closely linked to the hamlet of Por and the nearby Church of S. Lorenzo, small but very charming due to its elevated position. A short walk will take you to the small village, which was also destroyed during the First World War and rebuilt precisely thanks to the ruins of the nearby castle that has forever entered the lives of its inhabitants.
At the end of the walk, there will be a tasting of typical local products (included in the trekking) and an opportunity for refreshments during the "Green volley" organized by the Por cultural and theatrical group.
