Baita Gorck, 1175 m of ... beauty. Want to know why?
Baita Gorck is nestled in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, the largest protected area in Trentino. – It is located in the Val di San Valentino, a place of rare charm, made up of meadows, huts, barns, cobbled streets, streams, and alpine pastures carved out of the dense forest, at the foot of the majestic Carè Alto. The valley takes its name from the small Church of San Valentino, built in the 14th century to protect the herds that moved up to the pastures. The electricity in Baita is 100% eco-friendly: 4 volts are generated by a hydroelectric turbine powered by the Rio Malga Geredol and 4 volts produced by solar panels. It is the starting point for beautiful excursions: Passo di San Valentino (2765 m), Valle di Cavento, Bivacco Dossòn (2360 m), Bocca di Conca (2674 m), Rifugio Carè Alto (2,459 m), Val di Borzago (signpost no. 222), Passo delle Vacche (2872 m to descend into Val di Fumo), Costòn della Vallina, Bivacco della Cunei (2750 m), Malga Geredo (7,773 m).
The Baita offers both dining, with simple, local typical dishes, and accommodation (9 cozy bedrooms, for 21 guests).
